Final Exhibition of 2023 Entrepreneurship Programme for 100 Level Students in the College

Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Kwara CAILS, Ilorin in Conjunction With Prime Art Ango Academy Final Exhibition of 2023 Entrepreneurship Programme for 100 Level Students in the College.

As part of activities marking the completion of the 2023 practical skills in entrepreneurship course on Monday, September 11, 2023, Year One students of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin have showcased several skills acquired at the Final Product Exhibition organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship in the Academic Planning Unit and Quality Assurance of the College in conjunction with Prime Ango Art Academy.

Students were grouped for the training in different clusters namely Catering,Painting and Production, and Interior Decoration.

Students and their various trainers displayed some of the products that emanated from the training for viewing such as Cake and others.

Speaking at the occasion, the College Registrar who represented the Provost said “this training and exhibition are in tandem with the Mission and Vision of the College. The Registrar underscored the importance of enterprise and wealth creation stating that students should acquire knowledge from the practical skill training to become employers of labour in the long term.

The new Director of Academic Planning Unit and Quality Assurance Alhaji Kamaldeen Sofiyullahi Kamaldeen said that "it is pertinent to recognize your areas of strength and creativity and carve a niche for yourself in the business world. Those who will be wealthy are those that are ready to be employers of labour. He appreciated the College Management and the immediate past Director (Mr Abdulmumin Tayo Moyosore) for his commitment towards the success of the practical skill training programme.

He commended trainers for their dedication and determination to impart knowledge to the students. He said the training commenced with a high level of commitment, dedication and enthusiasm from all and sundry and this high-spirited passion was conspicuously displayed throughout the training period. However, he appropriated outstanding performance students for reward and recognition.

The Out going Director (Mr. Tayo Moyosore) of Academic Planning Unit and Quality Assurance said all 100 level students participated in different number of skills. He said that these skills were expressed satisfaction with the training adding that students were gainfully imparted by the lectures and practical sessions delivered by the carefully sourced resource persons.

The Registrar in company of the Deputy Registrars; Administrative and Establishments, The Director, Directorate of Students Affairs, The Director of Works among others assessed the various products on display and the certificate of attendant were issued to the students accordingly.
