The Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin, has announced the appointment of Professor Abdus Salam AbdulGaniyu Abimbola as the Substantive Provost of the institution.

At the Central Working Committee meeting on the NBTE Accreditation Exercise held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, employees who have made significant contributions to the College through outstanding dedication and accomplishments were recognized.

In this interview with newsmen in Ilorin, the acting provost of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Dr Sa’ad Hadi amongst other things speaks about how the Kwara State government owned institution is advancing education, empowering the society, and the global acceptability of its certificates. Excerpt:

The management of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin, has said that the institution’s certificate is acceptable for direct entry in Nigerian and international higher institutions.

The Kwara CAILS Academic Staff Union (COLAASU) inaugurated its newly elected executive and organized a send forth and get-together ceremony for its members on 6thof January, 2025. The ceremony was held to bid farewell to a pioneer academic staff member, Dr. AbdulRazzaq Solagberu, and to mark the handing over of the outgoing executive to the newly elected one.

It is with a deep sense of loss that I write, on behalf of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), to extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Prince Mahe Abdulkadir, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kwara State.

The Management, Staff, and Students of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin, extend our heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the momentous occasion of the 29th anniversary of his ascension to the revered throne of the Ilorin Emirate.

College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin matriculate over 300 students that enrolled for the 2024/2025 academic session. The ceremony held at the College Lecture hall featured lots of educative programmes, drama and more.

I am writing on behalf of the Management, staff and students of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies in response to your publication, which we read on social media regarding the state of our institution. We have carefully reviewed the issues you raised and deemed it necessary to address your concerns.

The Acting Provost, Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies(CAILS), Dr. Sa’ad Hadi has said the government of Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s disposition to the educational sector is unprecedented, affirming that the governor is up to date in the prompt payment of salaries of the staffers of the state owned tertiary institutions.

One of the ways to be in tandem with global standard as an institution of higher learning is the ability to adequately put infrastructure into consideration for students utilities.

In order to advance the teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology, ICT, in Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin, the Officer- Incharge of "Computer Literacy for All' as well as the HOD Computer Science Department, Mr. Ahmed Abiodun Taofiq has judiciously used the fund released by the management for the programme to purchase new Generator to the ICT Unit of the College.

A Team from the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Headquarters Abuja led by Professor Olaitan Ola was in Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin on Monday 29 of April, 2024 for the re-accreditation of Professional Diploma in Education Programme in the College.
